Crete now holds three airports in general.

The Athens international Airport is one of the biggest infrastructure projects throughout Greece and is now classed as Europe's southern gateway to the World handling direct flights to a from Cities all over the world.

Greece's islands are reached either by air or by ferries, high speed catamarans and the hydrofoils sweetly nicknamed “the flying dolphins” that support the smaller of  the islands and the larger along with their cruise ferries now also obtain high speed catamarans.  The islands normal receive a figure of 110,000 passengers and 22,000 vehicles that travel to and from the islands daily.

This gives the opportunity to connect major cities with the islands and the islands with themselves.
