Therisos gorge
Therisos gorge is one of the most visited places in the municipality of Theriso. The road to the village goes through the gorge which is 6 km long and is surrounded by steep walls on either side and a tree lined river.
Agia Lake
Agia Lake is one of the two lakes tha exist in Crete. It is located next to Agia village and it is an ideal wetland for plants, birds and visitors.
Museums
- The historical and folklore museum was founded in 1985 and it is accomodated in the building that was used as headquarters of Eleftherios Venizelos. The museum hosts objects of that era, archival and photographic material, weaponry, as well as personal objects of Eleftherios Venizelos.
- The museum of national resistance hosts rich photographic material from the National Resistance period of 1941-1945, as well as various objects and newspaper clippings of that period
